How to ask

Email support@musuwo.online from the address on the account, with the subject Delete my account.

Sending it from the account’s own email address is what lets us know it is you. If you cannot, say so and we will find another way to check rather than refusing.

Musuwo aims to confirm within two working days and to complete deletion within thirty days.

Deletion is deletion

Musuwo does not simply freeze or hide an account when you ask for it to be deleted.

What is deleted

• Your sign-in and your account profile.
• Your name, email address and phone number.
• Your saved addresses and saved recipients.
• Your baskets.
• Your browsing and product activity.
• Any internal notes Musuwo staff wrote about you, and the record of which policy versions you accepted.
• If you applied to sell: your application, and the photographs of your identity documents.

What may be kept, and why

Being honest about this is more useful than a page that implies everything disappears.

• Completed orders. A record of a transaction may have to be kept for business and legal reasons. Where it is kept, we reduce it to what is necessary.
• Audit entries. The log of privileged actions - who approved a business, who opened an identity document - is append-only by design. Its purpose is to be a record that cannot be edited, so entries referring to an account are not removed. They record actions, not your personal details.
• A live business. If you are the only owner of a business currently trading on Musuwo, we will contact you first. Deleting your account should not silently strand customers with open orders.

Inside the app

Deletion from inside the Musuwo Android app is being built. Until it is, the email route above is the way, and it is the same request handled the same way. This page will be updated when the in-app option exists rather than before.

Just want to stop selling?

You do not have to delete your account to stop trading. Write to support@musuwo.online and your business can be paused instead, which leaves your listings intact if you come back.
